Back at it again with another cauliflower smoothie recipe! If you loved our Blueberry cauliflower smoothie recipe you’ll love this new recipe! We added cauliflower to the classic banana strawberry, and wow, it did not disappoint. Can’t help but feel better when drinking this sweet and satisfying shake.
We originally experimented with cauliflower in our Blueberry Cauliflower Smoothie, and it was a hit! So naturally the gates have opened and there’s no holding back on where to add a cup of frozen cauliflower next!
It’s so easy to get fruit into our daily diet, but it’s always nice to slip some veggies here and there throughout the day. And since we’re smoothie rebels, we’ve decided to add cauli to our favorite classics.
Make a Thick Strawberry Banana Cauliflower Smoothie
This recipe is super simple. To make this Strawberry Banana Cauliflower Smoothie, we used frozen strawberries and cauliflower and added room temp bananas. Honestly, the cauliflower doesn’t have much taste, but adds volume and thickness to any smoothie or smoothie bowl. Thus really no need for frozen bananas. But if you use frozen bananas it will be even thicker and creamier. Using any type of frozen produce will to create a thicker smoothie.
Adding More Nutrients to Your Smoothie
In addition to slipping in veggies as much as possible we also like to add hemp hearts in as much as possible into our daily diets. This recipe calls for only 1 tablespoon but feel free to add more if you’d like.
Hemp hearts contain all the essential amino acids and are considered a complete protein. Read an in-depth look at the amazing nutritional benefits of eating hemp hearts.
If you don’t have hemp hearts, try adding Chia seeds or protein powder!
